PORCELAIN AND GLASS | Anne Türn
25-26-27 October 2025
Course on very thin and transparent porcelain.
This workshop is about making pieces that seem impossible. It is about understanding how to use paper-clay porcelain and glass together to form an artwork. . .
How to make fragile structures out of porcelain and how to fire them. We will focus on how to make porcelain and glass play together, what conditions we need to give them to control this process at least a little.
After firing the porcelain, we will learn different ways to load the kiln to give the glass a chance to melt through and over the porcelain pieces you have made.
On the third day we will see the results and discuss them.
The lessons are totally practical in addition to a theoretical chapter, firing and materials and a DPF (Frequently Asked Questions) session.
