Course on metallic reflections and lustre achieved through reduction<\/strong><\/p>\n

This course is an introduction to the technique of decorating ceramics with metallic reflections or lustre.
\nTo this end, we will use pieces provided by the organisers that have already been bisque-fired. Firing will take place in gas and electric kilns.
\nEach participant will create a range of shades as a small experiment and a starting point from which to develop their own colour palette.
\nWe will explore different recipes, mixing them together using a quadrangular system and layering techniques.
\nThe lessons are entirely practical, in addition to a theoretical section covering firing and materials, and a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) session.<\/p>\n

Ricardo Campos<\/strong>
\nRicardo Campos was a lecturer at the ceramics school in La Bisbal. Subsequently, together with Rosa Rosell, he studied and revived ancient ceramic techniques such as terra sigillata, Iberian pottery, black pottery and metallic glazes, creating archaeological reproductions for various museums in Spain, France and Great Britain.
\nApplying these techniques in a more personal and creative way, they have developed a body of work that blends black pottery, terra sigillata and metallic effects. He has taken part in exhibitions and fairs in various European countries and in China, and has been invited to give lectures in France, Spain and Belgium. His works form part of private collections in Europe, China, Japan and the United States. He has taught courses in Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.<\/em><\/p>\n

The 20-hour workshop lasts from 9.00 to 17.00 on Friday and Saturday and from 9.00 to 16.00 on Sunday.<\/p>\n
