Introduction to the technique of transferring images onto ceramic surfaces.

This workshop aims to provide an introduction to the technique of transferring images onto ceramic surfaces.

To this end, we will begin with the techniques of engraving, photography and drawing. We will learn how to adapt these techniques and transfer them onto a ceramic surface, and we will explore the interaction between the two disciplines from various perspectives.

We will work with photographs, digital images and drawings created directly on the ceramic surface. We will analyse the requirements of each image to adapt it as effectively as possible to the various techniques, prepare different stencils and explore various printing methods. This will be an experimental and creative workshop. The different transfer methods will be explained from a technical perspective, demonstrations will be held and creative exercises based on the images will be proposed.

*The workshop is aimed at artists and students of graphic arts and/or ceramics, as well as anyone wishing to explore this creative process. No previous experience is required.
