In this course you will learn how to make one piece plaster moulds for porcelain slip. You will begin by creating a personalized shape. Then we will go though the steps of constructing the mould and preparing the plaster to pour over your unique shape. You will discover the possibilities of the slip casting technique to be able to produce series of porcelain work easily and efficiently. Exploring atypical processes of slip casting via the \u201cSpongeware\u201d technique will also be part of this workshop that encourages personal development and experimentation.<\/p>\n

The goal of this workshop is to give the participants the technical knowledge and practical experience to confidently make one-piece moulds and slip cast porcelain.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Lyn Frydman Kuhn, Swiss – American, graduated in Ceramic Design at the CEPV “Center d’ensignure professionel de Vevey” has completed studies at the CERCCO Center for Experimentation and Realization in C\u00e9ramique Contemporaine in Geneva and at the Ann Arbor University of Michigan by purchasing the Bachelor of Science in natural resources. She has a great experience in the didactic and creative field, member of the IAC International Academy of Ceramics, founder of the “Ateliers R\u00e9cr\u00e9atifs” summer art program and director and educator of the “Ceramuse” studio in Switzerland. He has participated in many international exhibitions and artistic residences, among them; FuLe International, Fuping, China and the Korea Ceramic Foundation’s international residence program.<\/p>\n
