You can find us in Faenza, internationally acknowledged for its ancient ceramic tradition, thanks to its finely decorated majolica (also called “Faenza”) and to the work of generations of artists and artisans throughout the centuries.

From here you can easily reach culturally relevant cities such as Firenze, Ravenna and Venezia.

Also, you can choose to visit 3 charming medieval towns located in Faenza surroundings: Brisighella, Dozza and Bertinoro.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1568364777408{background-color: #f9f9f9 !important;}” mobile_bg_img_hidden=”no” tablet_bg_img_hidden=”no” woodmart_parallax=”0″ woodmart_gradient_switch=”no” row_reverse_mobile=”0″ row_reverse_tablet=”0″ woodmart_disable_overflow=”0″][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]

More about the FACC activities

1) Workshop

Every year we organize lot of workshop that deal with the different ceramic techniques. The workshop have a duration between 2 and 5 days and are suitable for everyone.

2) Residencies

We believe that creating a network within the ceramic community and our city, Faenza, is important to artists development, therefore one of our main goals is the organization of inter-cultural / cultural exchanges between international and local artists and institutions. We want to encourage the research into ideas, techniques and materials.

3) Contest

the “Ceramic&Colours Award”, is a ceramic competition with the aim of promoting and enhancing the research in the field of ceramic glazes for the finishing of ceramic objects.

For each edition the organizing committee will choose a kind of effect, the chemical nature of the glazes or a specific ceramic technique to be used in the realization of the works.

The Competition will take place every two years and is supported by the Municipality of Faenza, the International Museum of Ceramics and the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities.
